Coordinating and supporting members of the European and Economic Social Committee to organise a conference, with University College Cork as the host Institute.
After welcome addresses from UCC President John O'Halloran, Ireland’s Biodiversity Minister Christopher O’Sullivan and EESC President Cillian Lohan we had the pleasure of an inspiring and motivating keynote address from former Commissioner and Executive Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans who spoke of the key role that civil society and the EESC has in driving sustainability policy at EU level.
