UCC understands research impact broadly as a journey from inputs and activities through outputs and outcomes to long-term societal change. Integrated with our Pure Research Information System, SciVal is a key component of our research intelligence infrastructure. This presentation tells the story of how a small exploratory review carried out by our Research Impact Working Group (RIWG) evolved into a structured, institution-wide dialogue about research impact evidence. Most importantly, it highlights how user feedback became a catalyst for both institutional learning and product engagement with Elsevier.
