Description

"Macromarketing for Sustainable Futures: Artificial Intelligence Assisted Scenario Planning and Socio-Economic Development for Cork City and Port 2050"

Overview: This research presentation explores an innovative approach to urban planning and macromarketing for the future of Cork City and Port, integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven scenario generation and formal deductive planning. Using an updated version of the Scenario Planning for Marketing Action (SPMA) framework (Pattinson and Sood, 2010) and establishing logical relationships between goals, conditions, and actions, the authors guide strategic planning for achieving a composite vision of Cork in 2050 as a Quantum-Driven Sustainable Innovation Hub, incorporating a Spaceport and Brainport. This forward-looking approach combines quantum computing, sustainability, technological innovation, and socio-economic development. Through a methodology of combining AI-driven creativity with formal logic-based planning, Cork is positioned as a leader in sustainable urban development, knowledge exchange, and technological advancement. The authors framework provides a replicable model for other cities facing similar challenges of rapid urbanization, climate change, and technological disruption, offering a roadmap to create resilient and dynamic futures that align with the broader goals of macromarketing
