Description

This introductory microeconomics module develops students’ understanding of how consumers, firms and governments make decisions and interact within markets. It introduces the economic analysis of demand and supply, prices, production and costs, market structures and firm behaviour. Students examine how markets allocate resources, consider the strengths and limitations of market-based outcomes, and evaluate the role of government intervention in addressing market failures.
