Narrative
• Founded and led Poetry etc, a community writing initiative creating accessible entry points into creative practice and higher education for diverse, underrepresented and working-class audiences; mentored new host to ensure sustainability, with the programme remaining active today.• Designed and delivered interdisciplinary writing and performance workshops informed by MA and doctoral research, and supported by invited expert practitioners, enabling participants to produce original creative work, build performance confidence, and publish in annual anthologies.
• Developed leadership and skills pathways through participant-led programming, including workshops delivered as part of Vortex Gallery event series, Poetry etc Festival, with multiple attendees progressing into higher education, creative industries, and arts-support charities such as Arts Emergency.
• Demonstrated the transformative impact of storytelling and narrative methods in articulating complex lived experiences, evidencing community-engaged creative practice as a tool for widening participation, personal development, and social mobility.
