Research informing Ireland’s National Skin Cancer Prevention Plan (2023–2026)

My research on risky sun tanning behaviours among Irish university students was cited in Department of Health (Ireland)’s National Skin Cancer Prevention Plan 2023–2026, contributing evidence on behavioural risk factors associated with skin cancer prevention among young adults.

The research was also cited in the Lenus: The Irish Health Repository Health Evidence Awareness Report (HEAR), extending its reach to healthcare professionals and patients.

This work contributed to national public health discussions on skin cancer prevention, behavioural risk reduction and awareness of harmful sun exposure practices.
