Organisation Overview
In a rapidly changing world, the Institute is dedicated to addressing the pressing economic, social, work, and organisational challenges that shape our communities. Our mission is to foster an inclusive and ambitious environment where we conduct innovative and impactful research that supports knowledge diffusion and and learning to transform economic policy, business and work practices to deliver a more sustainable future of work and society.
Drawing from our diverse disciplinary perspectives we commit to building on our individual expertise to positively shape and impact organisations, work, economies and society. From our interdisciplinary approach and engagement with the wider business, policy-making, professional, and academic communities we strive, through high quality, engaged, and ethical research, to promote greater prosperity for individuals, organisations and society at large.
The Institute for the Future of Work and Economy welcomes collaborations and partnerships with organisations from public, private and third sectors to conduct research which combines academic excellence with practical impact. We will become a nationally and internationally recognised centre of academic standing and impact through building capacity by securing competitive funding, attracting globally talented PhD scholars, postdocs and faculty. In so doing, we will build a critical mass of researchers driving excellence in research and which will deliver high-quality, peer-reviewed articles and books and heavy applied engagement that delivers relevant insights that inform evidence-based policy interventions and changes in practice.
Our initiatives include hosting conferences, workshops, and seminars for our stakeholders, presenting at major international and national conferences, and developing courses to inspire and train the next generation of scholars, and business and community leaders.
