Research Interests
Astrid Wingler’s research focuses on the responses of plants to the changing environment in natural and agricultural ecosystems. In particular, she researches processes that regulate plant growth, development and stress responses to climate change. In addition, her research explores the importance of plant functional strategies and functional diversity for crop yield and ecosystem services, such as soil carbon sequestration.
