Biography

Caleb is a Lecturer in Occupational Health and Academic Director of the MSc in Occupational Health (blended) programme (https://www.ucc.ie/en/ckx06/) within the APHEA-Accredited School of Public Health at UCC. Caleb is also an Executive Committee member of the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology (https://eaohp.org/). Caleb’s teaching and applied research experience is diverse, spanning nearly a decade leading internationally recognized participatory intervention research focused primarily on creating mentally healthy workplaces and positively influencing the psychosocial work environment of traditionally male-dominated or high-risk industries. Prior to taking up his post as Lecturer, Caleb was a postdoctoral researcher, with both the School of Public Health and the National Suicide Research Foundation, working on the Horizon 2020 funded MENTUPP research programme (https://www.mentuppproject.eu/), an EU-wide project developing, implementing, and evaluating an interdisciplinary, multilevel mental health intervention programme with small and medium sized enterprises in the construction, healthcare and ICT sectors.
