Biography

Ciaran Evans (pronouns: he/they) is a lecturer and PhD Candidate with a specific interest in Inclusion Health.

He is a registered general nurse with extensive experience in medical-surgical nursing, nursing management and practice development in acute services. 

Research Interests

They are a member of the Inclusion Health Research Group (IRHG) in the College of Medicine and Health. Their PhD work is in the experience of access to healthcare for asylum seekers and refugees. His other areas of particular interest within Inclusion Health are on LGBTQIA+ healthcare inequalities and neurodivergent health.

His other work includes nursing education practices and cancer survivorship.

Teaching Activities

Ciaran is module coordinator for clinical practice and general nursing modules on the undergraduate BSc General Nursing programme. 

He teaches endocrine and musculoskeletal nursing and uses simulation and reflection modalities.
