Personal profile
Biography
I am a postdoctorate researcher at the APC Microbiome Institute, University College Cork, Ireland. My current research activity focuses on the isolation and characterisation of bacteriophages against human gut bacteria. During my doctoral research at Munster Technological University (formally Cork Institute of Technology), I isolated and characterised bacteriophages infecting phytopathogens of the genera Pectobacterium and Erwinia performing comparative genomics and determining the suitability of such bacteriophages for biocontrol applications.
Research Interests
bacteriophage, phytopathogens, human microbiota
