Biography

Dr Davide Tiana obtained his BSc in chemistry (2005) followed by a Master in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry (2007) and a PhD in Computational and Theoretical Chemistry (2010) at the University of Milan. During his PhD he spent 12 months at the University of Oviedo, 5 months at the University of Bern and 1 month at the University of Edinburgh. After spending one year at the University of Augsburg and at the University of Edinburgh as visitor scientist in 2011, he worked 3 years as PDRA at the University of Bath with Prof Aron Walsh, followed by 2 years as senior scientist at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Since March 2017 he joined UCC where he established the Cork Computational Chemistry and Programming (CCCP) group.
