Research Interests
My research interests include the following: Freeze-Drying, Freeze-Thaw of biologics, Drug Product manufatcure and Protein Characterisation.
Teaching Activities
I am interested in the teaching of industrial pharmacy and pharmaceutics. In particular, my teaching interests lie in developing the next generation of (bio)pharmaceutical technical leaders in the area of (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing.
I have developed the MSc in Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences, Operations and Management programme in UCC, a industry focussed 1-year MSc programme that attracts high calibre STEM graduates wishing to accelerate their careers in the life science manufatcuring sector. I also run a 1-year MRes in Indsutrial Pharmaceutics programme focussing on developing talent in the MSAT space.
As a Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy, I am particularly interested in developing novel and agile teaching programs and the use of digital technology and simulation to improve learning outcomes for students and reduce time to competency when entering the (bio)pharmaceutical industry.
