Biography

Dr Gediminas Juska is a Senior Researcher at Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork. His research focuses on optical spectroscopy of semiconductor nanostructures, particularly single quantum dots for quantum information applications.

He completed his PhD at Tyndall National Institute on pyramidal quantum dots as sources of single and entangled photons, where he developed photon correlation and quantum tomography techniques for the characterization of non-classical light.

Dr Juska has over 15 years of experience in advanced spectroscopy and has contributed to the development of experimental infrastructure for cryogenic quantum optics in Ireland. He has authored peer-reviewed publications, including first-author papers in Nature Photonics, and collaborates with both academic and industrial partners.
