Biography
Hardy has been Head of Research Services in the Library at University College Cork since early 2024. The Research Services Team supports Open Access publishing, FAIR Data Management and the responsible use of citation metrics. Hardy is interested in the scholarly publishing ecosystem and its current challenges such as equity in access to knowledge and predatory publishing.
Hardy has extensive experience in the sector, having worked at the University of Galway and Lancaster University in the UK. He is also involved in national and international initiatives such as the IReL Negotiations Group or the LIBER Open Access Working Group.
