Biography

Dr. Harriet Bennett-Lenane is currently a lecturer in Clinical Pharmaceutics at the School of Pharmacy in University College Cork. She received a Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) (BSc.(Pharm)) degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2017 and a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2018. Before completing a PhD in University College Cork in 2022 as part of an Irish Research Council Postgraduate Scholarship. She has previous pharmaceutical industry experience working across Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs roles. She also practices as a locum community pharmacist across the Munster region.

Research Interests

Machine Learning-Informed Medicines Optimisation Digitalisation of Pharmacy Practice. Delivery of Community Pharmacy Services to Vulnerable Patient Groups. Pharmacy Workforce, Professional Expansion and Career Development in Ireland. Computational Pharmaceutics-Informed Drug Delivery.

Teaching Activities

Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutics with a focus on integrated, research-led and active learning approaches. Current module Co-Ordinator of PF1011 (Pharmacy Practice I), BPharm3 Year Co-Ordinator and School of Pharmacy Internationalization Co-Ordinator.
