Biography

James is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Programme Director for the Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management at Cork University Business School, University College Cork. Prior to joining UCC, he was an Assistant Professor of Management and Organisational Behaviour at Maynooth University, Ireland.

With a background in new media and technology, James’s research examines the automation of management practice, digitalisation at work, and the role of human resource management in the future workplace.

A previous Irish Research Council scholarship awardee, his research has been published in leading international journals such Human Resource Management JournalHuman Resource Management, and The International Journal of Human Resource Management. James is also an Editorial Board Member at Personnel Review and an Editorial Assistant at the European Journal of Training and Development.
