Researcher in the area of business models (Energy Sector/Smart Grid, Open Source Software, Peer-Production, Open Innovation, Electronic Business). Co-Principal Investigator on "Innovative Business Models for the International Energy Sector" scoping project for the International Energy Research Centre (IERC).Associate Investigator on past projects "O3C - Open Code, Open Content, Open Commerce" and "CALIBRE - Co-ordination Action for Libre Software Engineering for Open Development Platforms for Software and Services"
Teaching Activities
My teaching interests are in the areas of software development and business model innovation and entrepreneurship. I have considerable experience in Executive Education through my work on the Irish Management Institute Diploma in Cloud Strategy and the Diploma in Data Business.
