Biography

Dr. Jiangtao Xie is an AIB Lecturer in Leadership at University College Cork. He holds a PhD in Management from Trinity College Dublin and a Msc in Accounting from the University of Queensland, Australia. His primary research interests focus lie at the intersection of strategic leadership and corporate social responsibility, with a particular emphasis on the psychological and sociological characteristics of strategic leaders and their impact on corporate social responsibility. In addition, his research also explores social issues in management in general (e.g., inequality, stakeholder management). Methodologically, he specializes in applying text-mining machine learning algorithms to analyse unstructured text data. Jiangtao's research has been published in reputed outlets such as the Journal of Business Research, Business Strategy and the Environment, and the Oxford Encyclopedia of Business and Management. His work has also appeared in leading conferences, including the Academy of Management (AOM), the European Academy of Management (EURAM), the British Academy of Management (BAM), and the International Association for Business and Society (IABS).
