Biography
Mitra accomplished her PhD in Environmental Technology in an international energy program at KMUTT-JGSEE, Thailand in 2012. She then worked in École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland as a postdoctoral researcher and continued her work in Italy as a research fellow in FP7 project StarAgroEnergy. In 2015, Mitra lectured master students at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW Berlin), Germany funded by BCP (Förderung über das Berliner Chancengleichheitsprogramm). She joined MaREI, UCC's Environmental Research Institute, in 2016. She has worked on a number of projects at UCC, including Our 2050, EirWind, MONITOR, SELKIE, and IMPACT. She is currently an ocean and offshore wind energy research fellow. She has publications in international peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings and blogs.
