Biography

Dr. Mohamed Seliem is a UCC Research Fellow specializing in next-generation communication networks, with a focus on wireless technologies (e.g., 5G, UWB, and Wi-Fi), and Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) for industrial automation and smart factory applications. 

Beyond Deterministic Networking, Dr. Seliem has also investigated edge computing, AI-driven network optimization, and positioning technologies, contributing to more resilient and adaptive communication infrastructures. He has published extensively on the design and evaluation of reliable low-latency networking architectures, advancing the integration of industrial IoT, automation, and cyber-physical systems.

Passionate about bridging theory and practice, he works on enabling scalable, robust, and future-proof networks that meet the stringent requirements of critical industrial applications.
