Biography
I am Lecturer in the School of Applied Social Studies and Academic and Research Co-Director of the id+ Futures Project. I previously worked in UCC as National Co-ordinator of the GENOVATE Project and Research Officer for SAFE(R)SPACE. Prior to my employment in UCC, I worked in the third sector for Oxfam UK and in various strategic and frontline roles in housing associations in London and Cardiff. My teaching and research interests centre of the themes of equality, human rights, gender, migration and the intersection of human rights and social policy with respect to intellectual disability (ID).
Research Interests
Equality, human rights, gender, migration and the intersection of human rights and social policy with respect to intellectual disability (ID). Inclusive post-secondary school options for, and inclusive research with, adults with intellectual disabilities.
