Biography

I am a Lecturer in Gerontology, in the Centre for Gerontology and Rehabilitation, School of Medicine, University College Cork. I am the acting Programme Director for the Postgraduate Studies in Dementia. I also contribute to the Postgraduate Studies in Older Person Rehabilitation. I am module coordinator for 6 modules on these Programmes. My primary research interests are in the areas of palliative care for neurodegeneration, dementia, young onset dementia, Parkinson's disease, and health services research.

Teaching Activities

My teaching interests are in Dementia, Parkinson's disease, Ageing, Palliative Care, Research Methods. I am Programme Director for the Postgraduate Studies in Dementia Programme. I am currently module coordinator for MH6014; CG6005; CG6008; CG6015; CG6016; CG6018.
