Research Interests
Dr Stephen R. O’Sullivan is a lecturer in marketing and consumer culture at University College Cork, Ireland. His research interests include play, human-animal friendship, fandom, street art, and advancing creative methodologies. Stephen is passionate about the application of art-based methods and media in social science knowledge production. He is the author of The Comic Book as Research Tool, and research comics Toxic Play and 10 Business Days. His research films Wild Culture and Encounters of Nothingness have featured in public and academic film festivals. His published interpretive consumer research can be found in Marketing Theory, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Consumption, Markets & Culture, Advances in Consumer Research, and Journal of Customer Behaviour.
