Biography
Dr. Vimalan Adaikalanathan is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Earth and Ocean Lab at University College Cork (UCC), currently working on the DETECT (Digital Environmental Technology for Enhanced Coastal Zone Management) project. He specializes in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), High-Performance Computing (HPC), and multiphase flow modeling. He earned his MS (2016) and PhD (2024) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, where his research focused on modeling complex flow phenomena, including wave-structure interactions, droplet impact and turbulent flows.
