Personal profile
Biography
Currently working as a Lecturer in the Geography Department of University College Cork. Having completed my Ph.D. as an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholar (2018-2020), my teaching at the university has included Geography & Elections, Environmental Politics, Geographical Research Methods, GIS, and many other courses. My main research area is Electoral Geography. Electoral geography is a field which considers the various factors that shape electoral trends, and potential associated implications, with a specific focus on spatial data and the role of place. My work is primarily quantitative in nature, and frequently utilises software such as SPSS, ArcGIS, and various R Statistical packages to better understand how the places we live in shape our political choices, and these choices in turn shape the world around us.
