Biography

Dr. Zhengnan Yin is Bank of Ireland Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Economics, Cork University Business School, University College Cork (UCC), and Co-Director of the BA Business and Financial Economics programme. His expertise lies in financial economics, with a focus on empirical asset pricing, investment, and financial intermediation. He teaches economics, econometrics, and finance modules across the BA Applied Economics, BSc Finance, BComm, and MSc Finance programmes, employing data-driven approaches to enhance student engagement.

 

Research Interests

My research explores climate finance, mutual fund performance, and asset pricing, with a particular interest in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into these areas. I have published multiple peer-reviewed papers and presented my research at leading international conferences. My work has been recognized through research funding, and I was selected as Ireland’s representative for the prestigious 8th Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences.
