ALANIS - Impacts of artificial light at night on pelagic ecosystems in European seas project brings together 9 partners from six European countries to investigate the proliferation of Artificial Light At Night from coastal activities and shipping and its impact on organismic behaviour such as vertical migration and on key ecosystem functions, while also considering counteracting effects of coastal darkening. The project is running from July 2025 till June 2028 and recieved a total funding amount of EUR 2,134,000 with UCC granted 250 000 Euro.
