Abstract
Twenty-one male patients who sustained gunshot injuries over the ten year period from 1972-1982 were reviewed. Patients sustaining penetrating intracranial or chest injuries had a high mortality and patients with penetrating abdominal wounds, a high morbidity. Peripheral limb injuries, though most common, were associated with no mortality and minimal morbidity.
