Abstract

This is a summary of the book "A Brave New Vision for Education in Ireland" by Áine Hyland with Desmond Green. It chronicles the first ten years of the Dalkey School Project, which set up Ireland's first state-aided Educate Together primary school in 1978. The title of the book is taken from the keynote address delivered by the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, at the annual general meeting of Educate Together in May 2016. The authors of the book were founder members of the Dalkey School Project.
