Abstract
A composition comprising a pure culture of at least one bacterium and optionally a consortium of bacteria, for use in the treatment or prevention of colorectal cancer in a subject is described. The composition is administered to the colon of the subject, and the or each bacterium is a human gut-derived bacterium selected from: Coprococcus comes; Ruminococcus lactaris; Bifidobacterium longum; Bifidobacterium pseudocatenulatum; and Bacteroides finegoldii.
