Abstract
This paper draws on research that examined the geographies of women's daily lives as part of a doctoral thesis. The research is based on a social survey that was carried out in Cork city between June 1993 and February 1995. It is found that Cork women are common users of interactional places in the city and that this activity is widespread in nature, but that the social geographies of such activity may be varied on occasion.
