Abstract

This article describes an open systems architecture (OSA) for prognostic inference. and the role it plays in an open systems architecture for Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM). We specify a prognosis OSA by specifying (a) the function fulfilled by a generic prognosis module. and (h) the inputs and outputs that must be present in such a module.
