Chaos in practically isolated microcavity lasers

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A investigation of two practically isolated microcavity lasers such as imperfectly isolated microcavity lasers where some minute coupling ermained was presented. The dynamics arising from nonlinearities imparted in the modal properties were studied using optical coupling. Population dynamics method was used to investigate the complex susceptibiilty of the active medium. It was found that their interplay amplified, that resulted in a rich display of chaotic oscillations, when the two conditions were met simultaneously.
