Abstract

The Transport Application for Chickens and Turkeys (TACT) is a decision-support system developed at Cosytec using a constraint-programming tool. Primarily intended for the food industry, TACT covers planning, scheduling, and resource-assignment aspects of operational fleet management. Operational since early 1995, TACT has completely replaced the manual scheduling process of Cosytec.
