Abstract
There is increasing awareness of high cumulative ionizing radiation exposure in patients with Crohn's disease (CD). We outline the principle causes for concern and the subgroups of Crohn's patients at risk of greatest cumulative dose. We present a practical approach to radiation dose reduction in Crohn's patients with a focus on evolving CT Technology. This chapter will inform the reader why radiation dose should be reduced in CD patients and will indicate how this task can be approached in clinical practice.
