Abstract
This contribution explores the life and career of Carlo De Carlo, a prominent art dealer based in Florence, whose activities profoundly influenced the international art market from the 1960s until his untimely death in 2000. Notably participating in events like the Biennale antiques fair, De Carlo was recognized for his exceptional taste and acquisition of early Italian artworks, which were eventually displayed in prominent exhibitions posthumously.
