Abstract

The design study for ultra-flat, printed circuit board (PCB) integrated inductors for low power conversion applications was presented. The effectiveness of integrated cores was also investigated as a function of various core parameters. It was shown that the structures that provide the highest level of flux confinement also provide the maximum inductance factor.
