Abstract

We present a distributed diagnostics and control architecture for embedded distributed diagnostics. Using this architecture, we (1) propose a distributed diagnostics framework for discrete-event systems based on causal networks; (2) show system diagnosability results based on component diagnosability: and (3) discuss how system partitioning approaches entail tradeoffs involving the resultant system diagnosability and communication requirements.
