Digital content creation: Anytime, anyplace, anywhere?

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsChapterpeer-review

Abstract

This chapter presents a case study that intends to empower the teacher educator and student teacher to create work online using a more thoughtful approach. Using design thinking as a framework, it addresses issues of creative publication and dissemination in a contemporary context, where pupils are routinely content creators and distributors of sometimes private and sometimes proprietary material. The cognitive behavioural therapy chart allows to map out an alternative course of action for Gina in respect of digital content creation. In this stage of interrogating the case study, student teachers are encouraged to consider how they might develop a coherent, whole-school approach to digital content creation beyond behaviour and attitude change and into a foundational understanding of online activity.
