Abstract
This article assesses the broadened agenda for European Capital Markets Union as envisaged in the recommendations of the EU’s High Level Forum Report, released in June 2020. This article specifically addresses the question of SME financing, the implications of technological innovation for financial market regulation and the objective of harmonisation of insolvency laws in the EU.
