Abstract
The lipase of bovine skim milk, purified by the method of Fox and Tarassuk (1), was found to have lipoprotein lipase (LPL) activity and was bound by heparin-Sepharose. Furthermore, all the lipase present in citrated skim milk could be removed by absorption to heparin-Sepharose. These results support the suggestion (2, 3) that the lipoprotein lipase purified by Egelrud and Olivecrona (2) is the same enzyme as the lipase purified by Fox and Tarassuk (1).
