Research output: Other output

Abstract

This scoping review aims to explore international literature to identify and map the experiences of asylum seekers and refugees in accessing healthcare. The review has three main objectives: (i) to examine the literature in relation to the experience of accessing healthcare for asylum seekers and refugees, (ii) to identify key barriers and facilitators in the access of healthcare for asylum seekers and refugees and (iii) to outline knowledge gaps to inform future research on evaluating the experiences of asylum seekers and refugees in Ireland. This review seeks to advance understanding of access to healthcare for asylum seekers and refugees by synthesising international empirical evidence.
