Abstract

A vertically aligned three dimensional (3D) Pt nanowire array electrode has been fabricated by electrodeposition of Pt into an anodic aluminium oxide (AAO) template. After immobilizing horseradish peroxidase (HRP) on this 3D nanowire platform, its electrochemical behavior has been examined for the detection of hydrogen peroxide (H 2O 2). The HRP/Pt nanowire platform showed a remarkable sensitivity of 345 μAmM -1cm -2 with a linearity range up to 2.5 mM towards H 2O 2.
