Abstract

We propose a novel channel estimation algorithm for coherent PON based on orthogonal chirp-division multiplexing (OCDM) waveforms with reduced pilot overhead of 1ns, achieving enhanced estimate accuracy and high-link power budget (39.5dB) over 20km fiber.
