Forecasting the teaching workforce in Lithiuania: final project report

This report describes a pilot project set up to develop a teacher workforce planning system in Lithuania. It provides information on the proposed teacher planning cycle and its major elements. The framework of the forecasting model, the main methodological aspects and results are presented. Three different scenarios on short and midterm teacher needs are provided. Conclusions and recommendations for the further development of the system and for the teacher workforce size are provided.
