GAs in Scattering Media Absorption Spectroscopy (GASMAS) technology for a non-invasive respiratory healthcare in neonates

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsChapterpeer-review

Abstract

GASMAS promises to be a novel non-invasive technology to improve the lung function assessment in full term and preterm neonates, providing information about the gas content in the lung and its concentration. Biophotonics@Tyndall has developed computational and experimental tools to model NIR light propagation in realistic computational and phantom models of the thorax of neonates. This studies are key in understanding the advantages and limitations of GASMAS in respiratory healthcare.
