Abstract

A dual linearly polarized travelling-wave antenna array is proposed. The design consists of 12 slotted radiators or patches which are mutually separated by phase-shifting microstrip lines. The antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 550 MHz centered at 7.74 GHz and inter-port isolation of 18 dB to 23 dB within the bandwidth. A gain of 19 dBi to 20 dBi is achieved in its band of operation which makes the design ideal for RADAR applications.
