High Split ratio 116km reach hybrid DWDM-TDM 10Gb/s PON employing R-ONUs

Abstract

A 256-way split is achieved in a 116km long-reach hybrid DWDM-TDM PON employing R-ONUs by combining, for the first time, a dual feeder fibre scheme with novel detuned AWG filtering of the spectrallybroadened upstream signal.
