Abstract

The article focuses on the purpose of problem-based learning (PBL) techniques in information literacy (IL) education for final year nursing undergraduate students at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) Libraries in Waterford, Ireland. It mentions how PBL approach provides education in nursing students in handling problem-solving and managing practical skills during their practice. It also discusses the similarities of PBL and IL in terms of student participation and skills evaluation. Meanwhile , it presents tasks which address the issue regarding IL on students.
